I want to know the entry level positions available, and whether or not this is a good field to get into. I want to know before I change my major.

Alright so I want to go to school for Human Resources Management and I’m still exploring the idea but I was just wondering what the process is to becoming a certified human resources professional. I know you obviously go to a post-secondary school for the HR program but what happens after that. I hear you can take this knowledge exam and then work in the field and then do another exam after that, is that all you have to do to get your CHRP? I’m unsure about the exact details. Also, is getting the CHRP designation really a necessity? Do I need to make that a goal to get or will I have an equally successful career without it? Thanks in advance to everyone who replies
